Not too much to write for today. Just riding down the road, heading home. I Left Oklahoma City this morning, drove through Arkansas and then across the mighty Mississippi into Mississippi. Not far now. By the time I hit Greenwood I knew it wouldn't be long. And then I was home.

Sometime in the next few days I will be writing a final journey note. Just thoughts and trivia about the trip. Till then.

Then I rode my old bike (still running but no 5th gear back to HOt Springs and talked to used bike dealer into letting me make the baggage change at his shop. Next morning I'm on an airport shuttle from HS to LR after dropping my old bike at the used ...

... want my bike at any price.. All these people have really gone out of their way to help me in any way they could.. I never had the feeling I was being "sold" anything, just nice people. If all goes as I hope, I'll close the deal on the Honda tonight and drop off the Yamaha tomorrow.. Might ever head south soon but I won't be able to handle all the gear I now carry as the new bike won't fit into the old system I had made.. I'll probably ship some stuff home from here.. Later... ... and it still sounds awful.. With a helmet on I can't hear the sound so I hadn't noticed it until I rode without it. I thought I'd better have it checked out as I had noticed a Yamaha dealer on the road to camp from town.. I stopped this AM and they don't open on Monday.. Then I called several other bike shops and it seems no one works much here on Mondays, go figure... So I hope to be there Tuesday AM to see what's causing the noise. Later.. DLD
