Today was all about seeing Seattle. We drove to the Seattle Public Library. This is an 11 story glass structure by dutch architect Rem Koolhaas. Seit gestern Abend nun sind Simon und ich nach einer Marathon-Tour von ca. 600 Meilen bei meiner Tante und ihrer Family angekommen. Nach 4 Tagen am Lake Tahoe, reichlich Party und Beach-Chilling, kroenten wir unseren letzten Abend mit einem tollen Feuerwerk zum Labor Day. Am Morgen ging es dann ueber Napa Valley ...

... Horse rides through the country side, a huge zip line coarse, or a natural river fed pool, they had it made. And, they were super nice and let me check out the rooms, use their wifi, and thankfully, play their piano. It's a bit pricey, but how often do you get to wake up in the tree tops! After a few hours I "B" lined it back to the coast. Next stop, San Fransisco.

... It's just across the OR/CA border (less than an hour from Sami's) and has stables and riding trails, as well as, RV campsites, pools and clubhouses, etc. Unfortunately, neither one of the two camping areas are real close to the stables and the one that's right next to the Klamath River is over six miles away. Nevertheless, it's a fun place.

Finally, after about six weeks of fun with great people, we hit the road headed south into CA.

... We walked around for a bit at Portland - not a whole lot there either. Decided not to stay there cos we had some time to make up so we kept driving - said we'd stop at 7pm wherever we were haha. So we ended up staying at a super 8 at Creswell about an hour south of Salem. The guy at the front desk was hilarious - he loved our accents so just kept on ...

... Yolis bar and restaurant is a great place to relax with some drinks and good food. This is a family run place where locals and repeat tourists are regulars. Yolis great grandmother bought the land for coconut oil and some cash. Her family are amongst the oldest families in the area. Great people! Excellent Chinese Food restaurant says it all. Yummy! and cheap. The locals eat there. Myrtles is kind of hard to find it didn't have a sign but good Johnny Cakes for ...

Well we have 2 weeks before we leave for Sacramento, where we fly out of on the 17th. We will be heading to Denver first where we will spend the night with our girls Ashley and Lindsay. On the 18th we fly to Belize. When we get to Belize City we are to be met by a driver who will wisk us away to the water taxi. So we head south to Brian's birth state, which makes him an Oregonian! There we find our long lost friends from Volcano the Neads and Brian's cousins. River rafting, flower shows, hiking, GIANT REDWOODS and seal watching are all highlights. Oh, and let's not forget the dune bashing on quads. Very eco-friendly....

I could pretty much tell where we crossed over the border from California to Oregon. Not because of the road signs, but because it went from beautiful slightly-cloudy skies to rain, rain, and more rain.
