    My parents don't stop, they are amazing... like the bees in the lavender, they never stop... their garden is a marvel... after watering a bit and moving things around, he grilled some meat and we ate dinner while they are watching basketball play offs.

    Tomorrow I am off to Corvallis for a mini reunion with amigos from Oregon State University back to the Gap on Monday.

    Life is good!

    ... bad leaving Amelia either in the car or the hotel room so I brought her to the banquet with me. Obviously she did not get my "shy" trait. I leave her for 5 minutes and she has made her way around the room (see collection of pictures below). Clearly she's the more social one in the family. I'm going to have to keep my eyes on this one.

    ... ask another, so eloquently, 'What do you think of that big ass old tree, huh?' . It's a facility for language that I can marvel at, but never emulate.

    The place where we stopped was just lovely. I'm not sure our photographs really do justice to the majesty of the trees, or that we have managed to capture the exquisite play of the light on the leaves, but we tried.
