We travelled to Varkala by overnight train which was quite interesting and we even managed to sleep for some of the journey! It was however the hardest surface to sleep on of the trip and did not do my back any favours.
Varkala is an attractive beach resort with a laid back vibe. We both relaxed and enjoyed the good seafood and the pretty beach. There is not a lot to do in Varkala but that is part of it's charm.
