Our reserved site was easily found at Diamond Caverns RV Resort and Golf where we set up camp and fixed a spaghetti dinner. Our day started about 9am on the road. We crossed over the Indiana border and saw gorgeous farm fields. We also saw another Amish family in their buggy with little kids running around the buggy in large brimmed straw hats. Pulling a 34 foot fifth wheel ...

Some places were so tight you had to squat to get through and others were so wide open it was like being in a cathedral.

Author's note: Sorry the pictures are so fuzzy. There was very little light (naturally) and so the photos came out blurry.

We dressed in old clothes, hardhats, gloves, and lights, then descended the stairs into the waist high freezing cold water cave. The guide was a 29 year old bat expert (he read some books on bats) who called him self "batman". He was very chatty and moved to Kentucky because his ...

A Grand Ole Day!

... trip so far, and then we set off for the show. The Grand Ole Opry is slightly outside of Nashville city centre, and we left in plenty of time. However, the traffic was horrendous and we actually only got there with enough time spare to grab a drink and find our seats before the show started. We had been a bit worried that we hadn’t brought dressy enough clothes to wear to a show, but we needn’t have been. Our jeans and sweaters were not at all out ...
