... and wine purchasings' at a couple more wineries. Ashton gave up on accompanying us and would spent the time sleeping in the car on the final visit; when myself and Anne-Maria came out and saw him we snapped a picture and decided that we would finally call it a day and head back to Markham! ... some of the journey with lots of snow but we got there safely and checked into our hotel. Our hotel was about 2-3 kms away from the falls and you could see a huge ploom of mist in the air and can hear the water crashing into the gorge way before you can see anything. Upon arriving to the Oldest State Park in America we were famished. We ate ...

... so I did and she let me pass. Happy days.

All in all a great day at Niagara Falls, I could go on for days. Both sides have something different to offer by the way - Canada has more shops and a nice "built up" feel to it (and better views), USA has a State Park, Goat Island and you can get up closer to the American Falls. Also they have the Three Sisters Islands, which lets you get right down to the water about 100m before it falls, it was warm(ish) by the ...

A travel blog entry by smyth on Feb 11, 2011

The planning has begun in earnest for our big trip in 2012. The one thing we know for sure is that we will be spending several weeks in Rarotonga and Aitutaki and with the cold and snow here right now, we are really dreaming of the South ...
