Once we'd got through customs (thankfully not as long a wait as we'd heard it could be), collected baggage etc, we walked out of the terminal building to be hit by the humidity and heat. ... for dinner. Sioux is really over being snowed upon as it is approaching blizzard proportions. Snow is building up on the footpaths and men are spreading salt around using fertiliser spreaders. Back at our room our garden terrace is now covered in snow. To my surprise Sioux goes onto the terrace, lies flat on her back and does a snow angel. I was so proud. In a week Sioux has become "a fallen woman" and is no longer a snow Virgin. I thought ...

... late - we had a detour via the New York Public Library...another "wow" moment. Totally Joey heaven in NY! They also had a special event on in the Library so loads of people were dressed up and heading in there - they had loads of candles lit on the steps up to the entrance. Too amazing for words (yet I do seem to be finding a lot of words don't I?!)

So instead of Union Square, we found a bar about 15 minutes from Grand Central and had some fries and a couple of beers. ...
