This scenic overlook on the ridge east of Vantage captures a panoramic view of the sculpture and the Columbia River Gorge. The last time I stopped here was in 2002 at the start of my motorcycle trip around the US. Another tourist, a young retired Navy, said they would fly A1s & F18s through the gorge during training missions about this time of ...

After the ten months that I'll be with City Year, I will have the boosted resume to help ...

... there are other places, ok one other place, worth haning out at and its actually quite awesome. Ellensburg is lucky to have Shooters, which is now serving coffee and snacks, by the way. If you're a gamer and especially if you appreciate old school game systems you should definitely go there. Yay for Shooters and all our friends who can also be found there ...

... were not at all optimistic about having a good view, or any view at all, of the mountain, but we decided to take our chances and go for it.

For the third day in a row, we drove through the Skagit River Bridge detour. This time I got a photo of the temporary span and have posted it here. It is due to open any day now, but not in time for us. It took us 20 minutes to get through Mt. Vernon and then we were free wheeling ...
