... mins behind schedule but not a big problem ... Yet. We followed directions back and got on track again, things were looking better about 15 mins later when we could see airport "stuff" like planes and big hangers etc... But it still didn't feel right, perhaps this was a back entrance given we got off track before???? The destination it took us to was a small road in the middle of the airport with security clearance only. The GPS ...

The big day, a certain calmness descended over the city. The crowds were smaller, the hustle and bustle was less but it was still New York. A quick visit to the tree and ice rink at the Rockefella centre, no I did not join in.

Our first clear day meant get up ...

Staying in Harlem was great. It had a great feel, and we soon found our local coffee shop 'Home Sweet Harlem'. When we first arrived we weren't sure how safe Harlem was, but looking past the harsh exterior, people seemed very warm and we stayed street wise.

Being in such a huge and iconic city on a budget of 75 between us a day (including travel, accommodation and food etc.) we thought would ...

Woke up 9.15am. OMG, can we ever sleep!! Lucky Pete and I are the same.

First stop today was the INTREPID MUSEUM at Pier 86 on the Hudson River.

We viewed the GROWLER Submarine. Then the INTREPID Aircraft Carrier which had many difference aircraft on its top deck. There was also a Lego Model of the Intrepid in the Museum. We had our lunch sitting under the British Airways Concorde. We paid extra to visit the ENTERPRISE Space Shuttle on ...
