Speaking of breathing, I attended a two-hour session of Classic Yoga and Meditation this evening at The Yoga Room. The instructor, Maureen, was lovely-- she created this congenial, relaxed environment that came as a culture shock... she and students in the class were even asking me about my cross-country trip. It's funny to be away from DC and realize that yoga doesn't have to be a competition ;)

Life in a house with 8 kids can be hectic, and never more so than when trying to potty train one of the kids, in this case Brendan, the youngest. Andrea very ingeniously rewards any of the kids who take Brendan to the bathroom with a piece of candy. There is an interesting result - too many kids in the bathroom. ... had been cancelled in much of Ohio. (Although, if I lived in Ohio, I'd be too scared to be knocking on doors.). It seems that snow is not far away in this area.
