Long day

Long 10 hour trek but without incident and with a professional and witty young - mind you, the more we go the more people are young... - border officer. Our two well-trained killer attack dogs were - except very few complaints during the day and some for 'good reasons' - amazingly quiet and patient: 10 hours in a crate! Are your kidding me? Now …

White River Campground

A travel blog entry by missvidalia

This is a lovely, quiet campground beside the white river. I was the only RV and my section which was next to a side stream. I walk the loop as it began to sprinkle, so I returned to the RV and had supper. A major lightning and thunderstorms began about midnight and lasted till 230. There was a lot of rain with some wind, but it was the lightning that was amazing to watch I opened all the curtains and blinds so that I could watch it in all its ...

... a milkshake... we ate most of it with a spoon. Fantastic value at $3.50!! Can probably claim it as the best milkshake I've ever had... and I've had alot of milkshakes in my short 21 years!
Back at the hotel it had started to rain really heavily so we went and spent some time in the spa before heading to White Castle (conveniently located 200m from our front door) for dinner. Not a healthy dinner, but it had to be done! We ordered ...

... br> Today we had burritos from Tacobell for lunch, not too shabby. At 3pm we had our tour of Lucas Oil Stadium. The stadium is the home ground to the NFL team, The Indianapolis Colts. The tour took us through all the areas of the stadium.

It is a unique\relatively new stadium with big glass windows on one side of the building that can retract. The stadium also has a retractable roof (the only stadium with this feature in the country)allowing it ...

... to my last trip to South America. As wonderful as the freedom was, I remembered some of the difficulties I also faced. I remember my ATM card being sucked into the machine and not coming out, with no easy way of communicating what a major problem this was. I remember it happening again, and me standing on a chair in the bank shouting, "Does anyone here speak English?" It’s a wonder I wasn’t arrested for bank disturbance. A sweet young ...

Place is a bit difficult to find with a much more obvious Holiday Inn next door. Neat entrance, friendly registration, easily connected WiFi. Room is nice with all the usual accommodation (good size fridge, microwave, very nice 'functional' TV, including a noisy mediocre AC/Heater). Breakfast area is large and quality of food to be determined tomorrow morning. Our yorkies found stuff under the main furniture that were not cleaned: what else might there be?
