Dad decided that a trip to the Field of Dreams should be a late inclusion in to the road trip.

It was a 4 hour drive from Chicago. When we arrived the field (just like in the movie) was there. On the field there were a lot of people playing baseball.

What happened next was awesome. The movie scene where the baseball players came out of the corn field was re-enacted. Some of those involved were in the original movie. ...

What a difference a day can make.

A new day, with a fresh start. I managed to wake up without hurting myself, which is always good, but harder to do that one might think. You see, the guest room in the Evans' house is a little different than most: the ceiling is only 5' 6" high, and I am 6'1". Sometimes, it's hard to think clearly first thing in the morning, especially in pitch dark, but I did.

... in their inscription cost. These people gave up their "Labor Day" holiday to spend it sitting and learning from the Word of God! He did a fantastic job!

We flew to Chicago on Friday (May 2) and spent Saturday morning and early afternoon with our oldest son, Daniel, his wife, Abby, and their two children before driving home.
