      Just to get from our campground in Jonestown, PA to Dumfries, Virginia, a total of 135 miles we crossed 4 states (Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia and Virginia). No wonder we are confused about where we are! It's too bad we camped so far from Washington, DC but we weren't sure we were even going to tour it or just get heading south.       On our main day in the Capital we attempted a walking tour, suggested by trip advisor, of all the major monuments. As the pictures show, everything seems to revolve around the Washington Monument. Unfortunately, it was too hot to complete the whole tour and so we cut it short.
