... to heavy snow. Really, seriously, reality doesn't need to bite this bad. My new employer called twice to confirm plans for orientation, check on the moving status and see what they could do on their side to help with the moving arrangements. All that being said, that was really nice. Today we stopped in Abilene, KS at the Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum and looked around. A bit of a history lesson as I ...
Des Moines, Iowa, United States kayaker902... Country Club for the reception while the bridal party did their bit.
We were first at the reception hall so we grabbed some funny photos and headed inside. The room was set up with food serving tables down the middle and dining tables on either side of the room. At the front of the room was the cake table as well as the bride and groom table. The room was dimly lit and glowing at the front were the many small lights of the Christmas Tree. Yes that is correct.

... I replied "I didn't see one" (I honestly didn't) and we debated a little and headed home. Alicia ribbed me a little to the others back at home but it was cut short as we were all running late. The Aussie crew packed up and headed off to the motel (via a Hyvee raid that turned out to be costly) to check in and get dressed for the wedding rehearsal.
Upon check in we realised that we didn't quite have enough time to dress up so we headed down to the chapel. The chapel was very nice ...
... Iowa). On the drive there I was able to see some of Des Moines which was great because it was difficult to see in darkness the night before. It looked like it was busier than Bunbury, much smaller than Perth though. We pulled up to the Capitol Building and it was a grand looking building built on a hill so someone had a good idea way back when.
We headed inside and god forbid we had to pass through security. Airports I could understand but Des Moines?? We're talking ...
... Who would have thought that Iowa would have the worlds best rest stops? Amazing.
So we headed south into Iowa and down to Des Moines, the state capital. The capital used to be Iowa City but for some reason it was abandoned and now the honour belongs to Des Moines. We visited the capitol building, with its lovely gardens, and the nearby war and peace memorials ...
... The 1989 film with Kevin Costner about an Iowian farmer who hear’s voices that tell him to build a baseball field so as to bring back the spirit of his dead father. Of course, Costner’s character builds the baseball diamond right in the middle of his corn field (a gamble since now he won’t make enough money to pay for his home). Anyway…long story short, the field is still there in the same condition they left it. It really was built for the movie, and is sort of ...
Des Moines, Iowa, United States mrweinstein... Moines Arts Center, Science Center of Iowa and Des Moines Botanical Center. And, some enjoyed ordering room service at the lovely Des Moines Marriott Hotel, and spending the morning elevating their tired, aching feet.
The warm, humid weather that helps to make Iowa such a productive farming region is a mixed blessing for Choir members. Many find the humidity helpful in keeping their voices sounding good throughout the difficult demands of concerts, sound checks and video shoots ...
To begin the final update on God work and where it has taken myself a servant that once said "here I am God, send me , just not to Belize, seems an impossible task." My fingers stroke the keys surrounded by a different existence in which I was not ready for as I found out through a series of events that only God could orchestrate. It be gan in September when I began to get sick. Being a stoic ...
