    ... when I've stocked up on lovely tomatoes, oranges etc! We've noticed people are now leaving their good fruit sitting on top of tables at the Quarantine Boxes, offering them to others to eat. Obviously the people had eaten so much fruit that they were full, so hope someone would appreciate their offerings! The countryside has now changed a lot too, and everywhere is either vineyards or orange tree plantations. I have never seen so many orange trees - they almost ...

    ... were heading in the wrong direction - we were going south and there was so many 4WDs heading north to the Menindee Lakes (even though the road wasn't going to open until Monday) Therefore a quick and easy campsite was required - and we opted away from Lake Cullulleraine itself to camp on Lock 9 on the Murray River.

    ... dust storm approaching. The wind was howling and blowing at about 60km/hr, our poor little annexe and awning were getting quite shaken about, then it just stopped really still.

    When we went out to check the outside, the sky was really an unusual colour. Off in the distance you could see the dust storm coming, no time to pull the annexe down, we just had to wait it out. We spent the day in, it is called damage control. The wind and dust finally stopped later ...

    ... of Sturt's Desert Pea and the colour was very intense. To celebrate the efforts of the Gardens volunteers the ceiling of a summer house had been covered in seed pods from various plants. A 2500 year old Eucalyptus - called the WOW Tree - shows the ability of the species to survive drought and fire.
