This was another beautiful weather day. Warm with a nice breeze.
We began our touring early today. As you may have noticed "the girls" saved enough money to go with us on this trip. First we went through the Badlands in SD. If you have never been there, put it on your bucket list. Mother Nature certainly knows how to sculpture!
We had another early wake up call to meet our local guide for the four hour tour through Custer State Park. We traveled with Ray, who grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Mount Rushmore was pretty cool to visit. The size of the Memorial is bigger than expected. Custer State Park gave us our first taste of wildlife. The bison crossed the road right in front of our car.
Well, we made it to Deadwood,SD and guess what! It's bike week in Sturgis. Yes, something we didn't know until about mid day yesterday. Lots of bikes and lots of people. Everyone is super nice and most all over 50 years old.
