Our first stop on the road to South America was an overnight in Dallas, Texas on Spencer's B-day. So, I scouted out a famous BBQ place that was close to the airport and our hotel - Hard Eight Texas BBQ was it! We ordered a tray of meat - seriously. We chose a sampler tray of different meat including; beef brisket, chicken jalapeno poppers, spicy sausage, and some beef skewers plus we added corn on the cobb. Everyone's favorite was the beef ...
Well, we're off--sort of! We're suppose to close on the house at 10:00 tomorrow, Tuesday. We didn't feel like rushing around in the morning & we've been living in the 5th wheel in the driveway all week anyway, so this afternoon we made the 2 mile jaunt to Lake Lavon! We'll probably leave for Ruidoso when we finish at the title company & bank tomorrow, or the next morning if it's too late. Can't wait to get to the cool ...
