Divine Wine
... My curry literally consisted of 5 pieces of chewy chicken bathed in a tin of Heinz tomato soup. There was absolutely no spice in it what so ever, and I'd asked for the hot version! Justine didn't fair much better; her curry was basically the filling from a beef pie, again spiceless. What a disappointment.

Hot in the Hunter
... I love swimming out here, the water is so nice to jump into after sitting in the sun. Didn't do much over the weekend, took the oldest swimming with me for a couple of hours as she will amuse herself and I don't need to 'look after her'. Was a really nice afternoon and nice to just sit around and do nothing. Saturday night I went out for dinner with a friend and then headed to the Irish pub. Brisbane and everywhere inbetween!
... long and they all taste the same. Not good for someone who loves all the different flavours you can get back home...i.e ME! But I think I have found some that taste ok and will now forever live on them when I need a sandwich!
I'm can't actually believe how quickly grape vines grow out here so I'm going to start taking a photo everyday as you can really tell when looking at them! Its amazing.

Pruning, cleaning and planting on the Vineyard
... keep us entertained with their campfire stories about hunting crocodiles and having out-of-body experiences with aboriginals. Weather forecast just gets better every week, although with the mercury hitting 32 next week, a 5.30am start time is appreciated with little time spent working in the midday heat. Everybody's looking more bronzed as the days go on and hopefully in Sydney at Christmas we'll be mistaken for locals and rid ourselves of the classic Brit sunburned lobster look.

Finally working in Wine Country
... pool opens next week so I can pretend to start my fitness regime or just laze around in the sun on days off. Either way, barring anymore crop-wrecking thunderstorms, it will hopefully be home for the next couple of months. Tomorrow brings a 5.30am start for 8 fun-filled hours of hammering nails into wood and fixing wire onto them for the vineyard. The thought of $20 an hour and a 2nd year visa is keeping us ...
