    Bugging Out

A travel blog entry by noeljrblog on Feb 26, 2015

Second snowstorm in a week heading to Raleigh. The forecast is 6-10" of snow. Since we don't want to miss our flight to Hawaii from Charlotte, we packed up the trailer, took it to storage, and headed to our son Zack's place for a couple of days. We arrived in Charlotte at 6:00pm, just in time to hit the start of the snowstorm.

Sunday, we leave for Hawaii. We are ready!!

... We will be without running water until we can replace that housing. Looks like a trip to Camping World.

We had an early dinner and went to bed.

Next step will be to get ready for Hawaii.

... After lunch, Sheila and I headed west to Iowa to donate the Prius and more importantly see our granddaughter Isabelle. On the way to Iowa, we decided to stop by our Kentucky lot to make sure it was still there!! We ended up stopping just outside of Nashville. Tomorrow, we will stop at the lot and then head to Iowa City.

Attached is a picture of me in my Hawaiian garb and the Prius.

Thanks everyone for a great day. . ...

Johnnie and I arrived at the airport and said our goodbyes to family. We made it through check in and security in record time and have lots of time to spare. The terminal is quiet so it wouldn't take much for me to take a nap. I fear that people watching will keep me from sleep though. Right now our flight is on time and it will be late when we arrive in LA for our connector to Brisbane. I can't wait to see ...

... Company Mill was built in 1810 and was used to mill wheat and corn. Originally called Page Mill, it became a center of social activity for the community. The mill was washed out in a flood and all that remains are the ruins of the dam and the millstone. The millstone was discovered in the river and lifted out by helicopter. A helicopter was also used to place the footbridge over Crabtree Creek right upstream. Next, ...
