Made it out of Cedarville, CA & a nice cruise to Gerlack NV. Good riding with a light tailwind, low traffic and good scenery. Water rules all out here; where it is there is green and human activity. In between are the dry places but lots of lizards, plants and interesting terrain. The next day we would be getting up to head to Crater Lake. I had been wanting to see Crater for over 10 years. My Jeep was holding up also so I just needed it to last a little while longer.

    Pubbing in Oregon

... out to be sunny and warm. It was clear enough for us to
see all the mountains on the way down. Don't know why, but the traffic was
heavy from Vancouver to Eugene without a break in both directions. Hard to imagine a nation in economic straits on a day like that (the malls and shopping center parking lots were jammed).

We found a beer pub, Hop Valley, next door to our hotel. I know how to pick 'em these hotels. We had a great meal and good ...
