    A perfect day for driving down country roads, looking at all the wild flowers that have popped up here in spring. The sky was blue, the sun was warm and the atmosphere was relaxed.     ... where we had a reservation for the night. It was late enough that when we passed through Fort Worth, the traffic was still thick but moving fairly well.

    It was late by the time we made it to the hotel, and we were ready for the break. It's a long drive across Texas.

    ... the river walk but disappointed it didn't have more lights turned on. Christmas lights hung from the trees but weren't turned on. Quite a few ducks and tour boats in the water. Weather was great and made for a very nice evening until we got home and saw what dammit dog had done to my blinds. Guess I should be glad it was only one window. They are getting doggie downers ...

    One of the many man made lakes in Texas (they only have one natural lake and share it with Louisiana (Caddo Lake). Someone had the great idea to enable persons with limited mobility the opportunity to fish. We went to visit an old friend of Mike (Aubrey) they were married to sisters at one stage of their lives. Later on our trip we were informed Aubrey had passed over. We felt he had hung on to see Mike again. This was the sad part of our trip till the next one. ...
