... In Canada I think they just assume that people are neither stupid nor impolite so we don't get all these announcements. I'm not sure if this reveals more about you, Amtrak, or about Americans in general, but as I know how to be polite on a train (unlike a lot of your staff) I'm not sure I care for it. I know how to be polite in other places too, for the record.
