... Utah. A bit more driving and we rocked up in the town of Hurricane, about 30 minutes from Zion National Park. Shattered from a long day of driving we pulled into a motel for the night- the Rodeway Inn. We had dinner across the street (in which I accidentally put a splodge of chocolate mousse on my buffet salad plate neatly alongside my chickpeas and beetroot. Who puts that next to all the salad trays?!) and then relaxed on our luxurious bed and enjoyed a long shower ...

We are staying in the Zion River Resort. It is a very nice resort. It’s nestled next to the Zion River and in between sheer cliffs of red rock. There are trees and some grass with southwestern plants. The temp was in the 90’s with low humidity when we arrived, but was down to the 70’s ...
