... a bit further to Aquatic Park and found ourselves a spot on the sand to wait for the fireworks.
There were a group of young girls and a guy from Alabama and Georgia that we chatted to after Darren photobombed their selfie, and a guy behind us who we asked to take our picture, who turned out to be a photographer, and who got some nice shots of us.
He got some more good ones when the fireworks started too which was cool!

Wide awake at 3 am, so I thought I'd give Deb a call, by the time I went back in the room Tegan was also on her phone. No chance of either of us getting back to sleep so we showered and got ready for the day. JRob woke about 4:45 so while he was getting ready, Tegan and I walked down to 7-11 for some coffees.

What better way to end my trip than to have a week stop over on the always sunny South West coast of the US, hire a car and hit the road with Martina. After all Martinas stories about Oakland I thought the best thing about hiring the car there was that we could get out in a hurry and start to head down the coast.
