... where we had to remonstrate about a mistake that the shop attendant made yesterday as we were given a 3 day transport pass having paid for a 7 day pass but we didn't notice until we used it today. The walk along the coast from the wharfs back to our place is very pleasant and not really that far - it was a lovely evening with great views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate ...

... spent a good 5 hours on Alcatraz Island, it was time to head back to the city. Another pleasant ferry ride back, leaving the bulk of the crowd behind (1000+ people on the island now). A restaurant that was an arcade too( only in the US of A). After BBQ pulled pork sandwich and a beer, we celebrated the end said a few goodbyes to those who weren't in the gateway hotel all very sad. Then the last 9 of us headed to fishermans wharf to see the sights of ...

... room for a freshen up before checking out somewhere for dinner. I fancied a steak but after walking around trying to find the flattest way to walk there, given directions from hotel decided against walking through the rough looking area and settled for Italian which I might add was bloody delicious. Dinner finished a brisk walk home and that was us for the day.

Cheers from the travelling ...
