... the weeks schoolwork. They had water there too, which was great, so we topped up the caravan so we could shower. Monday morning, we got up and headed to Melbourne. We went through Geelong as we needed to go to a Bank of Qld before heading to Tasmania. We arrived in Melbourne just after 3pm and parked just outside the Spirit of Tasmania loading area and walked along the foreshore waiting until we could board at ...

... views up and down the coast and with big rollers coming in it was easy to see that the ship and crew stood little chance. We could also see the rain clouds on their way. Awesome is an overused word these days but Maggie and I both used it to describe the scene. Next stop the 12 Apostles. This is now really commercialised compared to our last visit in 2005. They were super welcoming and it was fun to met a relative I have never met before even though we grew up not that far from each other. After 8 weeks on ...

... br> We went for a walk down to the Lake... I walked all the way there! Checked out the seagulls and the pelicans... and the odd tree or three on the way back.

That evening, I made friends with about six little kids who were there in the park and they took me for little walks on my lead. Dad followed them of course... just to make sure I did not get the chance to escape.

... There was a surfing history museum, so I decided to have a look, despite it costing twelve dollars, and them refusing to let me charge my GPS whilst I went round. The museum had lots of surfboards (unsurprisingly), as well as displays on board manufacture, surf culture, and a big model of the Silver Surfer comic character, which I thought was awesome due to its influence on Joe Satriani's awesome album "Surfing with the alien"! After twenty five minutes, I'd pretty much done ...
