      Relaxing beside Lake Colac

      ... some tall shady trees, with nothing between us and the lake but a fence…very relaxing.




      The most energetic thing we did in Colac was to shop for groceries and wander through the beautiful Botanic Gardens next to the caravan park. Lots of huge, very old trees, a lovely pond, and plenty of wooden seats dotted around for us to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

      ... then a Kookaburra swooped onto our veranda! Later we decided to take a walk in the dark, not good after watching American Horror Story but Georgie had moved after finishing off all the leaves on his tree!       ... walk which reminded us of Manly , with Norfolk pines and the pathway. A lot quieter though. Then we drove on along The Great Ocean Road. We have stopped on the Wye River at the Big 4 caravan park as we are both tired and need a pause.       ... a whimper out of me from the comfort of my travel cage... well... maybe a few on the bumpy bits of road. They stopped for a coffee and a drink of water for me before we got there, so I did manage to get out of the travel cage once!
