Now there is a lot to be said for booking your trip online - sorting out your own travel itinerery and finding those last minute deals. However the downside is when it goes pearshaped - it can be spectacular.
I knew my flight out of Toronto to London Ontario was at 18.00 hours which gave me just over hour and half to connect. However on my eticket there was no notification of which Terminal or gate I should be at.....so ...
... I got my stuff back - so I smiled and said Thank you (I am after all - British) - and this was met with the - I have swallowed an even bigger wasp - look. Out of the door - down the corridor - another checkpoint - handed in my card to the second wasp person and then........(insert heavenly music) an angel appeared who smiled. Oh joy - someone human who restored my faith in humanity. I went on my way with a cheery 'Welcome to Canada ' ringing in my ears.
