One thing we had been hanging out to do was go and watch a game featuring Brazil with other Brazilians. And so we did it in the best style possible and we went to the Porto Alegre Fifa Fan …

... a few hours, drinking and chatting, and contemplating how we were going to get home. The thought of riding home was overrun by the logic of taking a taxi. When we got back we made the most ridiculous desert. It was meant to be some kind of ice cream dish but greek yoghurt was used in the place of ice cream, cinnamon was chocolate coating, and the main part was half a slice of cake I had been given on the bus the night before that I didn't get around to eating. ...

... br> It was incredible. It had almost 100% no sun. The canopy of the trees forming an arch over the road almost prevented any sun penetration. And it was green. Lush green trees everywhere. Sam and I were both amazed. It almost gave us enough cover form the sun to forget about how hot it was. Almost, but not quite.
We did indeed retreat to the shopping centre after this. And it was bliss. We didn't want to face the outside again so we must have killed an hour and a ...
