... First they told us the story of the Loch Ard ship which was sailing from England to Melbourne in 1878 full of emigrants. It sank of the coast near Warrnambool and only two people managed to get ashore alive. To finish the tour they had this cool 3d laser show thingy, pictures weren't allowed unfortunately. To top it all off we did get to see our first live Kangaroo. There is quite a lot of roadkill here so theres no shortage of dead Kangaroos, Koala Bears, Wallabies etc.

... made the journey to Port Cambell even more special. Here we stayed at a really sweet little guest house where the owner, Mark, treated us to a meal and lots of wine with his two friends, son Darcy and dog Gia. They were all very hospitable and the tipsy sailing yarns made us all giggle. The weather has been very hot lately, it's breaking records as the hottest March in 15 years. Last week the temperature reached 40 degrees (and 29 degrees inside our house!) At the weekend Albert Park hosted the Grand Prix just a few kilometres down the road.
