Made it down the bay overnight

Survived a wild ride down the bay. Some of the roughest conditions we have experienced on the Chesapeake. Big waves. 30+ kt winds and lots of driving rain. Enjoyed our new cockpit enclosures as well as the heater we installed below. The AIS system which allowed us to identify ships during the night was a big help.

Navy ships don't use AIS so we slowed to enter Hampton Roads after sunrise. Still, with heavy ...

... and suddenly my purse appeared! It was a miracle! I was overwhelmed with joy! And of course bought Dipan dinner to return the favor.

After yummy Outback, we hung out by the river for awhile watching the sunset and Joel taught me a little about the boats (He works in the shipyard). We talked for awhile but when it got dark we had to head home :/ Me and joe said our goodbyes and road tripped back up north.

As I warned the last Hunt for Harriet in New York was exceptionally hard. I needed to provide an extra hint as to her location, but with a keen eye, that was an old eye as referred to by the winner, Harriet was found by Deloris.
