    From the photos you can see that the walls were about 2 ft thick... they used timber poles... 7” – 10” in diameter for joists and trusses with small limbs, and then their mortar as a floor for the second story... They had no doors unless hides were hung... Over the years most of these walls ...

    ... a bar! Boohoo... Secondly, should you ever be riding a Harley across America - keep an eye on fuel and fuel locations, have I mentioned, it's a big country! Nearly ran out of fuel in nowhere Arizona but managed to squeeze some 230/240 miles out of the tank!

    Oh around Casa Grande is the marvellous Casa Grande Indian ruins from the Hohokam Indians in Coolidge, Arizona. Fantastic and you get up close to some massive Saguaro cactii


    We sure do like this warmer weather!

    Back on I-10, we connected to I-40 at Flagstaff. The winds were getting gustier, and we were rockin’ along. We stopped at a Rest Stop and noticed a crew of DOT workers along the roadway. My observation: It is a true sign of job security when you see DOT workers pushing a broom into 25MPH headwinds.
