... Well, renting a pair was free, so we opted for that. Seems the pool kindly “rents out” equipment that is left behind by other guests. What a great idea! We know personally that there’s a whole room-full of goggles, flippers, pool toys and towels left behind at Shaw Park—why not let others use them?
Mark brought Mike up to the pool, and we spent all afternoon just talking, the four adults. By 5:00-ish, Mike had to get back ...
As soon as we were off the train in LA we were back on another one to take us to San Diego. Luckily this train had wifi and some epic views along the coast of California. The place that we stayed was also amazing. A huge 8 bedroom house overlooking the city with a big garden/patio and hot tub. When we got back to the hotel we went out to dinner and the hunter steakhouse, it was a delicious meal and soup was included, one that Sam believes Monty would have loved, it was like a beef and vegetable stew and they served it with crackers, who would have thought! San Diego is a beautiful city, we have loved visiting this part of the world. We fly out to Vegas at 0925 in the morning. Lots of love Emma & Sam ...
... magnificent sunsets.
The weather was holding for us even though the evenings were cool. We spent our time walking on the beach, catching up on our reading, and taking endless pictures.
Richard and Melanie took us on a guided tour to a nearby marsh where there were many birds we had never seen. The best of my pictures are shown in this blog.
