I now have a picture of the Lexus that Jackie earned selling Nerium (way to go Jackie!!!). The Lexus is the reason we have the Jeep. Thank you everyone!
Home we go. Gene drives the Jeep and I drive the Honda. We drove about 2500 miles. We traveled another 1000 miles thanks to Gary and Linda, Gary Wellman, and Joleen. It is great to be home and we are ready to do this again.
... check out (I really had to exercise some self control there!) as well as check out some of it's many cafes. It may have been lunch time!
There was one more major destination for the day and that was La Jolla, pronounced La HOLla. It is known for its beaches, the cute boutiques and cafes and most importantly, the seals. The weather was holding for us even though the evenings were cool. We spent our time walking on the beach, catching up on our reading, and taking endless pictures.
Richard and Melanie took us on a guided tour to a nearby marsh where there were many birds we had never seen. The best of my pictures are shown in this blog.
... Pie - The Reunion' on the way (is pretty funny), and checked into Hostelling International upon arrival, really friendly and clean place, i feel we're pretty spoiled for our first hostel experience but we can judge this later.
Walked upto Balboa park (about 3 miles) then got the no#7 bus back, had tea in the Gaslamp Quarter at a bar called Barley Mash and watched some NFL and Baseball. A pint of Guiness was $9 so drinks were very ...
... Then we did the warner brothers tour yesterday which was really good! They show you all the film sets, how stuffs made, how they do everything - which has slightly ruined tv/movies for me but hey! Saw the spot where the upsidedown spiderman kiss was filmed, the central perk set and sat in the sofa! Even had my picture CGI'd into a picture with the harry potter train..!
Now time to chill out a bit in San Diego - plan for tomorrow: BEACH!
