We leave in 19 1/2 days! Months and months of planning and I'm hoping everything will come together in the next couple of weeks. Let me introduce our crazy family of 4.....I am Michelle, my husband is John and our children are Jacob (16) and Megan (12). ... home of the last five days, the Gold Ranch Casino and RV Park as scheduled. We encountered no signs of snow on the eastern, or dry flank of the Sierras. There was no snow to be seen in 5800' high Truckee, a city of 16000 souls. As we approached the "wet" or west side of the mountains a dusting of snow awaited us, but none of it was on the road.

Jil and I have experienced the Sierra Nevada mountains many times in the past. She mostly on ski trips and myself ...
