My dear friends: It's getting colder in Canada and my thoughts are wandering to warmer climes. On January 12/2010, I fly to Managua, Nicaragua and then work my way north ending up in Cancun, Mexico. From there, I fly to join many members of the Gaudun family in Daytona Beach. If you would rather not get notifications of my travel blogs just send a brief "no thank you" to this travelpod . No problem. Hasta la vista baby. Steve
Dundas, Ontario, Canada sgaudun... plaid tablecloth outside a pizzeria owned by Giuseppe. Wanted to see a sign "Brunos Easy Loan" but missed that one too.
· Chinatown – Over crowded, tightly packed businesses, street vendors, bicycles with shopping cart sized baskets, multi colored and sensational.
· Royal Ontario Museum – An impressive 5-story diagonally oblique styled building full of Heritage galleries ...
... back to Toronto.
The backpacks have had a trial packing and we're "OK", there's still some space for extras as we go.
The checklists are getting smaller as we get closer and things are looked after.
Santa arrives here on November 7th, so now we're heading into "Christmas" mode and anticipating fun, gifts and lots of turkey ...
Fasten your seatbelts folks, for another riotous adventure tale from the Blythe and In-Law Global Wandering and Golf Flailing Association (BIGWAGFA). Sophisticated adventure followers will recall that earlier such yarns encompassed the Hawaiian Isles, Spain, Portugal, Greece and the Aegean Islands. Side trips to Australia did not make it to print, and those complaining that the Hawaiian escapade didn't either will be accused of picking nits.
The escapade of which we now ...
Hello Family and Friends, As you already know, our feet have developed that itch again and in order to cure this malady we will be on the move again shortly. This time we will toting all of our belongings, including a few small puppets, a harmonica and a tinwhistle, in two 35 litre carryon daypacks, and a small, packed daypack for any overflow accumulated ...
Guelph, Ontario, Canada ladyandtramp... In every city that I've been to, the downtown area were the greyhound station is so different from the near by commercial downtown. They are usually lower income areas, which really makes me sad. But it is awesome to see that the Greyhound helps advance the world by moving people around to job, see relatives, and just gIneral traveling. This kind of culture, along with the simplistic culture of the booking system and employees, is what would ...

Brantford, Ontario, Canada koltzooThere are many things that a traveler knows for certain yet it's the unknown that is the most appealing, thrilling, inspiring and exciting. The unknown puts you to the test, makes you think, challenges you and forces you to make choices and decisions, often at a moment's notice. Though life is a journey in itself and we're always traveling somehow, somewhere, it's the raw appeal of being on the road that makes a traveler a traveler, in the true sense anyway. Travel forces you ...
Guelph, Ontario, Canada wakingdream... was looming. We arrived. We were all excited after listening to Mike talk about this for weeks. The forest was wiped right out! It looked like there had been a massive storm. It had taken out all the trees and they were snapped like twigs, lying all over each other. The Dead Forest. Mike was SO disappointed! It was crazy because these trees were not just ordinary trees, they were absolutely HUGE. Well, yes, were. So, this year, no magical ...
Guelph, Ontario, Canada wakingdream... a good rep. The people were great, very nice, understanding and (for the most part) patient but in the whole 5 years there I don't think I met anybody that I would call a 'friend' in the true sense of the word. And the politics!!! Well enough said about that. So here we are in China, life can be dull and uneventful just as it can be in Canada but at the end of the day; when our boss isn't cooking up some wacky scheme or changing our schedules at the last minute or arguing ...
