We keep seeing the Doo Wop concerts presented on PBS and I thought that it would be nice if we could one day see one live, and so we did. We had a big hearty breakfast to fuel us and made our way to the Gulf Coast Visitor Center to rent a kayak for the day. We decided to rent a double kayak as it was cheaper than getting 2 separate ones and it made for good teamwork. We packed tons of food and water, checked our map and hopped in. We had ...

... to a restaurant recommended by the hotel. Outdoor dining, Italian food. The 'restaurant' was in fact a landscaped parking lot, with a mobile kitchen hidden in the trees. Remarkable food. What a concept, short term lease on a lot scheduled to become high rise. Drive the kitchen away to the next location. It was packed every night! To the readers who are Health Inspectors, we had great food, good service, and we are still alive. Al ...
