This morning we had breakfast at the Days Inn in New Stanton, PA. It had rained well overnight and was still raining this morning. What a surprise when we noticed that the noise that we hardly heard through breakfast turned out to be a construction crew working to remove what was left of the canopy over the hotel entrance. After Washington's defeat at Fort Necessity, the British set up a chain of forts as a supply line to reach and defeat the French at ...

After leaving Bonnie and Dave, we headed to Laurel Hills State Park to see if we could find a dry hiking path. We did not but Heather rolled up her pants and secure in our hiking boots we hit the trail. That is, after our encounter with some park wildlife. To date, our wildlife consisted of a frog, a butterfly, some longhorn steers and a groundhog. So ...

... to the wall of names carved in Marble. The Marble wall as well as the new Visitors Center is constructed along the flight path to the point of impact. At that point of rest, there is a large sandstone boulder that is original. There are 40 groves of trees being reintroduced into this large meadow. This was an area that had been strip mined. The sacrifice of these individuals leaves one speechless and in tears. ...
