    ... a walk up the hill on Mutton Bird Island. We had spectacular views of Coffs Harbour and surrounding area, the huge ocean and a bonus of dolphins and whales in the distance. We then did the grand tour of the town and all that was on offer. After a late lunch we took a drive to Sapphire Beach where we had planned to stay. On comparison we were pleased we had picked Sawtell as our base being the better overall location. Headed back to base and a lazy afternoon and sundowner.

    We could not leave Coffs Harbour without a visit to the beach and coast but when we got there and parked the car it looked a bit like rain and we feared of getting wet while walking down the pier into the bay.

    What is better than the fear of getting wet? Just to get wet and get it over with, right!?

    ... we sat on the beach for a while watching the Australian version of community games on the beach!. Next we headed to a lovely place called nambuca, it had a gorgeous little beach and even though the water was freezing we went for a swim for ages! afterwards we made some food on the barbeque before heading on again.
