... climbing up to fantastic views from headlands between the beaches. Even a stretch that took us into the depths of an Australian suburb, walking through peoples’ gardens and across their lawns before returning to the coast. Along the way we saw a couple of big lizards (Cathy jumped and squealed ‘EEEK’), a group of brush turkeys (Cathy jumped and squealed ...

... a walk up the hill on Mutton Bird Island. We had spectacular views of Coffs Harbour and surrounding area, the huge ocean and a bonus of dolphins and whales in the distance. We then did the grand tour of the town and all that was on offer. After a late lunch we took a drive to Sapphire Beach where we had planned to stay. On comparison we were pleased we had picked Sawtell as our base being the better overall location. Headed back to base and a lazy afternoon and sundowner.

Quiet trip today. Said a sad farewell to the gang, they were heading off for another ride so I was very jealous. Great bunch of people, will miss them.
We found a gem of a place to stay the night. The last time I have experienced quiet like this it ...
