By then it was lunchtime anyway, so we pulled up underneath the bridge crossing the Bellinger River which luckily has a bit of a shallow sandy area, so the girls had a bit of a play in the water, and Ken got his fishing for the day done. And yes, caught 2 fish, a flathead and a bream, bit true to form, both undersized. A drive along the river to the Urunga foreshore, and we were ready for home again. ...

      So this is just a short stop. Basically we planned to stay here for about a week, it was so beautiful. Our fist night we went for a long walk.Along the Beach and over cliffs and it was just beautiful with Kangaroos everywhere. And I mean everywhere!!!! We were awoken at 8.30 am with the ranger collecting fees, Yep we hadn't paid them, we wer'nt sure how long we were going to stay for. Anyway it seems National Park fees are based Per person. So $10 ...

Scottish origins and the pole painting came about with the arrival of the Olympic torch in 2000, when originally only a few poles were painted, however the community liked it so much that it continued and now over 200 poles are painted and include Scottish clan names.My bus arrived at Coffs Harbour on time - apparently a very rare occurrence! I was expecting someone from my hostel to be there to meet me as they offer a free pick-up ...

      ... still waiting to see some dolphins up close!! The trip was brilliant and before we knew it we were back to shore. We arranged to go for dinner that evening as a group at The Beaches, a busy bar in Airlie Beach. My Canadian friend Dave came to meet us and we all got a few jugs of beers in and then decided to hit the Irish bar, wonder who's idea that was!!
