... and Ted Cruz (R-TX) who spearheaded the whole ObamaCare defunding fight on Capitol Hill. Their push has resulted in this initial victory in the House. Now, the action moves to the Senate, where Majority Leader Harry Reid will try to reinsert funding for the anti-gun ObamaCare law. Republican Senators can defeat Reid’s substitute language by filibustering it, and we believe that this is where the battle lines will be ...

We wanted an early start to the fair, so I got on a 6am train from the local station (Amtrak again so a pleasure and $8 for a 30min journey with wifi) and headed to Freeport. What I hadn't counted on was that Lesley lives on a bus (converted to run on vegetable oil as attentive readers will remember) so she didn't check her emails again the night before or the following morning. So by 6:50am I was concerned she hadn't shown up ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Comfort Inn Ocean's Edge Belfast
Everything was just perfect! Loved the extra touches like extra pillows, nightlight in bathroom, newspaper at the door. The beds were wonderful!
Love the View!
My stay at the Belfast Comfort Inn was most comfortable! The beds are so comfortable, and the extra pillows are great! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful! The maintenance man even cleaned my car off after a snow storm. Thanks again to all!

Our stay was in October, 2004. The Ocean's Edge was one of numerous hotels we stayed in on our 10-day Fall Colors vacation. I rank it as one of the Top 3 places we stayed, the other 2 being B&Bs.
We traveled all over the USA and Europe and really enjoyed this Inn. The staff is friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular. The breakfast was excellent, and the Inn was immaculate. I also liked having a guest laundry.
We'll be back!
Great view but . . .
We booked 2 nights here in August'04 based on good tripadvisor reviews and fair prices. The room was very clean, the staff friendly, and the view beautiful. Unfortunately the hotel is poorly constructed so that it is very noisy in the room. The first night we were kept up for hours by noisy neighbors above us who had kids running around and jumping in the room. I spoke to the front desk in the morning. The man was extremely polite and assured me they were moving out that day. The second night was quieter, but still we heard every door open and close, hallway conversations, showers running, toilets flushing, and dogs barking.
Great Hotel Great Staff
The staff is wonderfully accommodating. They were exceptionally friendly and competent. The room was spotlessly clean. They even have a game room and indoor pool to entertain the kids. The free breakfast was nice, too. I just can't say enough good things about the staff.
Ocean's Edge is aptly named
Very clean and updated rooms, great continental breakfast, the restaurant was superior and better than many that we have tried in the area. Balcony overlooking the ocean is grat even in the winter.
