Dixie and I went on yet another adventure to the Town of Owls Head, Maine capturing the true heart of this Coastal Community. Lobster. We learned that the Lobstermen of these parts pull out there Lobster traps and buoys just before winter because of the harsh weather conditions consistently staying in the teens and well into the negative temperatures. Most Lobstermen pull up these traps by hand hence why its absolutely understandable why they are all stacked on this ...
... ordered chicken wings called WTF Hot wings. He had one and said they were really spicy, the waiter explained that they are the spices they use are the closest they can get to the ghost pepper, so picture the hottest spice you've ever had and times it by 100. What made me try one I will never know, In my head I was saying you only live once. I finished my wing and that's where it all kicked off, my mouth started drooling, my head started pounding and my lips and tongue ...
... freezing cold here and the wind is blustering. It didn't stop us from attempting to prop up the Bangor economy, though, as we shopped all afternoon. The casino was even good to me as I cashed in over $300. I gave about half of it back before getting smart and heading back to the room. Tomorrow we finish up our shopping here in Bangor and then head ...
Here we sit in Bangor airport after a very easy drive down from NB. We're all checked in and sitting in our boarding lounge. I'm feeling quite well rested after a good night sleep. Same can't be said for Patti. I sent her an email last night to tell her I'd be picking her up at 6:45 instead of 6:30...but apparently my fingers had already fallen asleep, cause her message said I'd be there at 5:45. Oops! I'd kick me ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Comfort Inn Ocean's Edge Belfast
Everything was just perfect! Loved the extra touches like extra pillows, nightlight in bathroom, newspaper at the door. The beds were wonderful!
Love the View!
My stay at the Belfast Comfort Inn was most comfortable! The beds are so comfortable, and the extra pillows are great! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful! The maintenance man even cleaned my car off after a snow storm. Thanks again to all!

Our stay was in October, 2004. The Ocean's Edge was one of numerous hotels we stayed in on our 10-day Fall Colors vacation. I rank it as one of the Top 3 places we stayed, the other 2 being B&Bs.
We traveled all over the USA and Europe and really enjoyed this Inn. The staff is friendly and helpful. The view is spectacular. The breakfast was excellent, and the Inn was immaculate. I also liked having a guest laundry.
We'll be back!
Great view but . . .
We booked 2 nights here in August'04 based on good tripadvisor reviews and fair prices. The room was very clean, the staff friendly, and the view beautiful. Unfortunately the hotel is poorly constructed so that it is very noisy in the room. The first night we were kept up for hours by noisy neighbors above us who had kids running around and jumping in the room. I spoke to the front desk in the morning. The man was extremely polite and assured me they were moving out that day. The second night was quieter, but still we heard every door open and close, hallway conversations, showers running, toilets flushing, and dogs barking.
Great Hotel Great Staff
The staff is wonderfully accommodating. They were exceptionally friendly and competent. The room was spotlessly clean. They even have a game room and indoor pool to entertain the kids. The free breakfast was nice, too. I just can't say enough good things about the staff.
Ocean's Edge is aptly named
Very clean and updated rooms, great continental breakfast, the restaurant was superior and better than many that we have tried in the area. Balcony overlooking the ocean is grat even in the winter.
