... ran out of fuel halfway out to the main boat! Too drunk to risk swimming, someone had to swim out to us and two us back by rope! Had a brilliant day!



Saturday 21st

Clearly I didn't get enough of the water on Friday.. today Jonny called up Scott and I to invite us along with his uncle to take some catamarans out on the river. Today I was sober so the prospect of drowning wasn't quite as funny as it was yesterday ...

... they were very experienced at the positions they were playing in ....and Robert kept laughing at me which didnt help!!!

Friday night was a Gala night at Mosman Park which turned out to be quite boring ... for those that had paid a lot of money it was drink as much as you can in 2 hours .. so they all did .. and as i was driving and on Sprites ... it was very boring!

Saturday was more fun .. Robert had yet another practice match and i went shopping again rather than ...

... and i got on the bus and then the train and went into Perth..... very unusual for me but i looked at the map wrong and we walked about a mile in the wrong direction ... RobP (who was a postie and should bloody well be used to walking)... was not pleased ... i thought it was funny cos i blamed the fact that i was upside down in Australia and thats why the map was wrong hahahahahaha .. he didnt laugh!

Then we took another train to Mosman ...

... buses at 1am at a roadhouse in the middle of nowhere. Luckily we had purchased some sleeping tablets in Thailand for times such as these and as soon as we were settled onto the second bus, we popped one each and slept pretty soundly throughout the night.

There were a couple of places that we had planned to stop off at on the way back in the campervan – the Kalbarri National Park and the Pinnacles Desert, which has thousands of limestone ...

... I played with my new toy; the wave machine, blissfully unaware of the risk I was putting myself at. Apparently the helicopters were keeping an eye on shark sightings and that was the reason everyone had left the water. Whoops ah well I still ahve all my limbs intact.

Kirsty and I stayed on the sands for hours and watched the sunset whilst talking about life and putting the world to right. This has been one of my most special nights since I have left the UK.

... I woke up the next day at Fiona's I had a sore throat. Meh I thought. Spent most of Sunday in bed!
Monday- crawled out of bed and went to work. Then got told I had no more hours that week. Uhm- 6 hours of work does not pay the rent thank you very much. I was not impressed but felt too rough to argue. felt better after a very strong curry at Old Shanghai- this is now mine, Laura and Kelse's Monday night routine it would appear. ... kangaroos and koalas at Caversham Wildlife Park, and the uniqueness of the Pinnacles. I would love to spend sometime at Harbour Town though or maybe going to the waverock.Takpelah apa nak buat, masa limited sangat. Ada jugak location yang diorang oversell cam Penguin Island tu but we take it in a stride dan anggap tu macam pengalaman jelah. Alhamdulillah everything went really well, dari penerbangan pergi sampailah our arrival at LCCT. I really enjoyed my short break. Best!

Once we'd dropped the van off outside Perth, we were faced with the next little hurdle: Where do we go? Where do we stay? How do we get there? How much does it cost? Which way is that? In all honesty, we should be pretty good at this kind of stuff by now. We're not bad at it, not by any means. We just didn't have a bloody clue where we were. ... was our next destination - some wineries to see! Our first stop was the Voyager Estate. Behind its gates stretched long lines of vines, sweeping lawns and inviting rose gardens. We gladly accepted the invitation to visit its Cellar Door and tasted the fruit of its labours! We also had a superb lunch in the restaurant. ... quickly. Karl took great delight in describing in detail what we are in for at the Drag racing tonight (Saturday), to which he and Tony are coming as well. He said that the first time he went, although he was told to cover his ears when the cars took off, he was completely deafened for an hour,  and felt as if his whole body had been violated and that he was going to sh-t himself.
