31 Clyde Street Batemans Bay, New South Wales, Australia, 2536
Spent the day mainly relaxing and did a bit of shopping and then saw some more of Ulladulla. Had a good day and at night went out for dinner to the local chinese restaurant. Was probably some of the best chisnes we've been to for a while. The only downer was that Elijah didn't feel well during the meal and consequently threw up. He felt better after that and the boys both enjoyed when we got back doing a little more dancing with the girls. Early night as I was feeling tired.

Batemans Bay, New South Wales, Australia freshie... days in Nowra to discover the car could be fixed at a price which after some working out and a look on the internet would still work out cheaper than renting or buying a bus/train ticket. As James would say you have to spend money to make money! I'm not sure he quite said it like that but that is what he meant I think! So we left the car in Nowra and went on the train to Sydney for Xmas and new year !! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEH!!!
Batemans Bay, Australia jamesandruth... explored the park. We discovered blue bottle jellyfish. They sting but we were told "it isn't lethal but is sure hurts." We stayed at a great hotel in Batemans Bay. Our balcony overlooked the beach and you could have put our Shellharbour hotel room into the living room of this one. PLUS it had wireless Internet and it cost less money. (Many of the hotels advertise Internet but they ...
Batemans Bay, Australia christinagary... an entirely British concept, as beaches are really not the English forte! Further down the coast, at Jervis Bay, we found the beach to top all beaches, Hyams Beach - rivalling Whitehaven in terms of paradisical beauty, a bona fide white sand heaven, frothing at the edges with bluey green waves and ...
Batemans Bay, Australia sianeth... few pictures of the shrine. With it being so close to Anzac Day the Roll of Honour was covered with poppies, wreaths and other markers. Coming as we do from a community that has no real experience of losses a "global conflict" it was sombering to see the thousands of names that were there. The "Anzac Spirit" is quoted over here in the same way that the Brits quote the "Dunkirk Spirit". However it is much more central to the Australian psyche and many see it as the first ...
Bateman's Bay, Australia mariborkevWe had an eventful day. After a really nice day out in the local National Park (and our first Roo sightings!) we were waiting to turn right back into the drive of where we are staying when a car ploughed into the back of us. WE ARE PERFECTLY ALRIGHT so please do not worry. We were both rather shaken up and the car is a write-off but we were not hurt and nor was the kid that ran into us. The police came, took all the details, he admitted total liability ...
Batemans Bay, Australia sueandmarcus... capital and I've been to every other countries capital city even though I've heard there is no reason to visit really. So we got in the car and started motoring south along the Princes Highway, route 1 which goes all the way round the outside of the country, and went to Wollongong. Wollongong is a major town in New South Wales but being only 80km's from Sydney it is virtually a suburb. Started along the highway and realised we were in the red and needed to find petrol quickly ...
Pebbley Beach, Australia rbisset... aggressive and rude ! I LIKE IT !!! we followed the coast line to the first stop at Wolungong, an old mining town, with the most amazing road, well a bridge road, sweeping round the cliff edges, they coulnd tbuild on the cliff becasue of all the rock falling away all the time, it gets smaller and smaller. i have photos. that night we slept in the car, it was horrible, we stopped at a place called gurilla bay, it was so hot ...
Wolungong, Australia james24... to go spearfishing, as you do, Shar lit the wood fired brick barbecue and we discovered another facet of the gem that is Shabby Shacks. Its wildlife. The trees surrounding the cabins are alive with birdlife and at certain times of the day the crimson Rosellas and King Parrots come down for a feed. Their colours are spectacular and if you keep still and are patient they will land on and feed from the hand. Not coming quite so close are the loud calling Kookaburras, the ...
