... have really enjoyed these beaches through Nova Scotia and then along the Baie des Chaleurs and around the Gaspe Peninsula. Too soon the salt water will not be nearby again for some time.
I realized today we have officially turned westward so every kilometre brings us a little bit closer to home. Tomorrow we will head south a bit, though, once we reach Matane and head to where Denis was born, Causapscal.
Baie-Comeau is another coastal port in Quebec and we were fortunate that it was pleasant dry weather for once. For some reason we had chosen to go on a tour called Manic 2, which was to a hydro-electric power station. The 200km of sealed road to Baie-Comeau is magnificent and a joy to ride. 100kph sweepers and hills are technical and rewarding so much so that I forget that I've been riding all day. In what seems no time at all I'm at the end of Route 389 South and back in civilization.
