    ... Our foreignness was of little interest to him. He asked no questions but found us a safe audience. He had a motorcycle and that was our connection.     ... wind in my face all day but I pushed on and made it to where we were hoping to go. It was the first hot day I've had the entire trip and I ended up shedding a few layers of clothes. It had just gotten dark when I rode into St. Joseph. I was pretty tired from battling the wind all day and was very happy to see a dairy queen.
