    Hang around Washingtonian Center. Lots of people hang out there. Love the lake and the breezy walks though with a bit jet lag. Morning went to Target and walk around the shops like blue mercury. Lunch returned hotel for a rest. Nap for an hour and then headed to farmer's market in crowd downtown. There are lots of fresh food there. Still thinking any soup can be made out of these America farm products. Let see. We have a dinner in Joe's Crab ...

    ... person and the frustration quickly disappeared as we realised we were not dealing with incompetence but stupidity. He asked Wills "Do you have the same months that we do here, like, do you have March?". It is extremely difficult to answer a question like that without sounding very condescending. He refunded our cab fare, upgraded the car and we were on our way.

    ... feel slightly carsick from staring at my computer screen. Every time I move however the woman behind me seems to be suffering from some sort of nervous disorder and screams out in alarm. I'm trying to sit really really quiet...

    We pull into Union Station and immediately notice the difference in the way people speak here. It's a lot more to the point while still seeming to be polite because every comment is followed by "you have a good day now".

    ... Apparently the "service" is part of the charm of this place. We finish our lunch and walk around the Inner Harbour some more. I drag the guys to a candy store called "It Sugar" just to look at the goods they sold. We see giant nerd boxes, giant twizlers, gummy bears of all sorts of flavours and sherbet. It was a really cool shop. We head home for the day after that.

    ... Next were the Natural History and American Indian museums. The former was really good, as the pics will show. The American Indian museum Helen found interesting, but I was expecting more of the Indian experience, but much was on finding their identity and mother earth. A few displays on clothing and way of life. Smithsonion has a number of museums - massive buildings. There are massive building everywhere in this place - the American Archives ...
