Well it's the first day being temporarily unemployed. Feels weird knowing I won't be going back to the hospital to work. Got a lot accomplished. My passport arrived finally. We got the hitch installed and the trailer reserved. We got to spend the morning with sweet friends and their 12 horses and numerous cats. Had a blast feeding carrots and apples to the horses. I'm sure going to miss these wonderful ...
... said that they will shoot you for "nuttin" hahahaheheh Then we checked into our campground. Deep creek tube and campground. Real cute and lots to do here! We are reminded though why we like state and national campgrounds though. They really pack them in private campgrounds and tend to be more loud. We are going exploring tomorrow in the mountains and going white water rafting! I'm kind of nervous so wish me and my boys ...
... they were trading shifts but i think they were just to lazy to come to their rescue. They were in a hot metal elevator burning up until someone came and pried them out. I would never go to this hotel again. We told them to give us more than fifty dollars but they refused.
Took a family vacation to Gatlinburg, TN!! Don't have many pics on this computer but it's wonderful there. We stayed in a huge cabin. The scenery is out of this world. Pigeon Forge is great! We went to a local steakhouse, The Peddler, and it was awesome! They have great wine to choose from as well. We went for the 4th of July. It was beyond crowded but everyone had a blast, and we would go back in a heartbeat. ...
The Sleep Inn was simple, newly renovated, and the price was right. Best part - they accommodated my little doggy who hung out in the room while we were at Wonderworks. Was surprised to find out it was super close to Wonderworks, so that worked out in our favor. It would have been a pain to stay in a more central "Pigeon Forge" hotel and have to travel so far when Wonderworks is near the end of the Strip.

Historical Traveler Reviews Comfort Inn Apple Valley Sevierville
Very nice rooms
This last weekend was the first time we have ever stayed at the Comfort Inn Apple Valley, and we were not disappointed. The room was immaculate and very spacious.
The hallways were extremely well maintained. Even the stairways were carpeted.
They also had a nice continental breakfast. Recommend this place highly.
My husband and I finally got away for the weekend without the kids on November 13, 2004. Although it was higher in price than other surrounding motels, we chose to stay at this hotel. We could not have been happier. The thing that impressed us the most was the cleaness of the place, and it always smelled like apples and cinnamon in the hallways. Also, they had a full house when we were there and we never heard a peep out of another guest, we even had the indoor pool to ourselves on a Saturday night! You can't go wrong going to the Comfort Inn Apple Valley.
This hotel combined a touch of luxury with a lot of convience for what our family desired in an accomodation. We were in room 129 which was only 35 steps from a very nice pool and a wonderful hot tub. Our room included a jacuzzi and a separate sitting area with a TV. Our nine-year-old son loved that area and made that his home for the 4 days we were there. Besides the two TV's, the room had two sinks and a large, comfortable king size bed.
The ladies in our party were thrilled that we were only steps away from the Apple Barn where they always enjoy shopping and all of us enjoy eating. The hotel is located near many shopping areas including the Tanger Outlet and Govenors Crossing. And yes, it's only about a mile or two from a Wal-mart! The hotel is located in the edge of Seiverville very, very near the city limits of Pigeon Forge directly on the Parkway.
The free coffee and cider was nice and the contential breakfast, while not eloborate, had warm sausage gravy. The breakfast room was a little small, but hey, no nit picking allowed with this fine hotel.
Though a little pricey during peak ($139 for the weekend in October) this hotel was very nice and I would recommend it to anyone.
A little hint concerning eating at the Apple Barn restaurant: great place to eat but with a wait usually. If you stay at this Comfort Inn, send someone in your party over to get your name in while you relax and then head over when you are close to getting a table. Makes the wait a little easier. Unless of course you want to shop while you wait.
Loved Comfort Inn Apple Valley
Wonderful motel - a little more expensive than some in the are but it was very clean and spacious. Personnel were all friendly and helpful - made you feel they were very glad you picked their motel for your stay. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Close to shopping outlets, restaurants, etc. Enjoyed Applewood Restaurant right behind motel. Breakfast was very good with more variety than most continental breakfasts. Would highly recommend motel to anyone.
Great BUT beware - it's DRY !!
Stayed at this hotel in May - all the reviews are true - it's lovely . It's also close to the ' Applewood ' restaurant which is very , very good BUT like the town it's DRY !!!!!!!! Little old wine drinker me almost had a heart attack - what's with you guys - the LORD liked a drink !
What a deal!
The Parkway in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge is littered with motel after motel after motel. We pulled into Comfort Inn based solely on how pretty it was from the outside. Ordinarily I ask to see an actual room before we book it, but we were so tired from the drive, that we took it sight unseen for just one night, thinking we would check out the next morning and find a better motel in Gatlinburg. We were so pleasantly surprised to see how nice and accommodating the room was we stayed there the entire 4 nights! Clean, newly furnished, and spacious. It had a sink and mirror outside the bathroom as well as inside. There was a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker all in brand new shape. There was a separate sitting area with table, chairs and sleeper loveseat. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch of our 3rd floor room and overlooking the apple orchard. All this for a more than reasonable price (we were there in June). What a deal! I definitely recommend this hotel/motel. You can even catch the trolley in front of the motel.
Beautiful hotel and great staff
The hotel is very comfortable and peaceful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with special added touches to remind you that you are in the Smokies. I love the bears in the trees surrounding the outside pool. (don't worry... they are not real ones). Our room was so nice we didn't want to leave. The prices were good too. The only thing I would ask them to do would be to leave more coffee in the room as I am a coffeeholic. They did give me more when I asked for more at the front desk. The staff was very friendly and very prompt to fill any request. I would love to visit this hotel again. Keep up the good work!
Reading your reviews helped me select Comfort Inn at Apple Valley. Your reviews were right on!! Clean, great location, extremely friendly and helpful employees, very good continental breakfast and very quiet. My next stay will be at the Comfort Inn at Apple Valley.
We attended Winterfest in November and stayed at the Apple Valley Comfort Inn. This was one of the highlights of our vacation. The rooms were beautiful and the staff was excellent. Convenient to all the major attractions, including Dollywood and the best resturant around, The Applewood Resturant and Applewood Grill. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
