... was right at lunchtime . Fairly large dining area inside and al fresco with a nice view of the river. Everyone's casually dressed and very laid back, very at ease atmosphere. I study the menu and choose something not on the menu! Chicken enchiladas with mołe sauce on top. ...

6th-7th August Not a great deal to talk about after yesterday as it was a driving day, we drove from New Mexico into Texas, and drove down to San Antonio, a fairly uneventful drive. Rounding out our time in New Orleans before we ventured to the country-laden city of Nashville was spent checking out the neighbourhood sights and deep-south housing architecture around the Garden District, visiting Frenchman St Markets, and of ...

... to sleep), and everything was stained and dingy. We've stayed in some average and cheap motels on our trip, but this one gave me the heebie jeebies.

We walked downtown, but it was so cold we went straight into a shopping mall and took refuge there. There was a guy manning an information booth who chatted with us for a while, and gave us some tips on places to go and eat, and then he turned around and said 'I've done a favour ...
