    ... the years.

    We've turned back across the Mississippi to Hampton, Illinois to spend the night at a delightful county-supported recreational facility. With our senior discount, we paid $16 for the pleasure of watching the river flow by our front door. The 'water is wide, I cannot cross over'...but we will take a bridge over the muddy waters tomorrow for our first stop at the Herbert Hoover presidential library.

    We got up in the morning and were hooked up to wifi for the first time! While it was great to get connected, it was kind of cool being cut off from the world for a while:). We updated the blog, got our new phone working (my mom has the number should anyone need it) and got ready for the day.

    ... and lightning storm of the decade. Four to five hours of a light show and rumblings. A lot of rain and only one small drippy spot (we will need to set it up and buy a little caulking and clear spray sealant and the drip will be no longer a worry). We woke up to a sunny day and were ready to pack up our wet trailer and head to the cottage on the Mississippi.

    Would we recommend the Warren Dunes Park? We would recommend the dunes and beach, but the camping was not ideal because ...
