We have now left the magnificent scenery of the mountains, and are now driving across the prairie with not much to see. We are going to spend the night in Rawlins. It here we meet a few interesting characters and spend some time conversing with them. Lots of cute little cotton bunnies wandering around the camp ground. Looks like we have a nice night here in Rawlins, as it can be one very windy place.

The highlight came early on when we saw some wild horses galloping across the track in front of us, but after this, there was very little to inspire. We followed one road for 26 miles which had only two right bends on it: the rest stretched out endlessly and painfully into the distance as straight as a ruler. It was twenty six miles of utterly barren desert with nothing and no one in ...

We left Kansas, and Continued west. Kansas is still flat, and wheat everywhere. As we crossed into Colorado, we started to see alfalfa fields, and finally some hills. We went thru Denver and turned north on I-25. We passed Estes Park, and that brought back the memories of the many summer shows I went to there with Doug and Mike. So many good ...

... more steps to my pedometer. In Wichita, KS we washed the coach and in Limon, CO we just relaxed after our longest travel day of 412 miles. So when not driving (him) or crocheting (me) we have been walking. The view out the front window has been beautiful and the weather has been very good to us...mostly dry. Here in Rawlins, WY there is a steady wind, beautiful sunny sky, dry air and a little less oxygen at 6800 ...
