Today we boarded Queen Mary 2. A very efficient process from arriving at the kerb, through security and immigration and check in....... We then got lost among those who were returning to the ship from excursions in New York, but eventually made our way to our room, where our bags had already arrived. Was lovely to have champagne in our cabin on arrival enabling us to ...

She too travelled a lot, but mainly cruises. We both gave thanks to God before eating. She was an interesting dinner companion. Back at my room my attendant quickly made my narrow bed. This concluded the first stop of our trip and we said farewell to The Big Apple and prepared ourselves for a night aboard the Lakeshore Limited to Chicago... Bags checked in, we grabbed a coffee / tea before boarding and settling into our cosy roomette. The train left a little late and we then ...

... look smaller - Central Park looks like a forest from up there. Over Statue of Liberty and up over New Jersey and Bronx. Fantastic. A quick walk around 911 and then metro back to hotel. Frocked up and quick rooftop visit before walking to the theatre for Jersey Boys - fantabulous with great music. Singing on Broadway on my birthday - what fun!! Headed back closer to our hotel for a late ...

... Center where there was lots of flags from different countries and there was an ice rink they were taking down from winter. There was The Lego Store nearby so we walked there and looked at cool lego things. There was a massive Lego snake ans heaps of Lego sculptures. When we got out it started raining so we went underground to the mall underneath the Rockafellar center. It went under the buildings and was heaps of streets long! We found a Ben and Jerrys ice cream store and ...
