    ... a different landscape full of scrubby plants and many Joshua Trees.

    It was great to meet up with the family again including Dawniel's' children and one of their friends. Her brother David and family friend Elias were also there.

    Had a yummy home cooked meal and then everyone went off to see the new Hunger Games movie. I stayed home and watched fun makeover programs on cable TV.

    ... departure, not a slow roll out of the station.

    A couple more rides and last look at the gift shop, it was then time to call it a day. Six Flags was awesome, incredible, well worth the 6 week wait. We then headed back to Santa Monica Pier for our dinner. We saved the best till last, good ol' Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Watching the sunset over Santa Monica Beach was a perfect way to end our amazing holiday.
