... like 500 to 1000 feet (hard to estimate) from the desert floor on this sort of hill at the base of the cliff. So, despite being only around 100 feet from the bottom of the climb itself, I was already surrounded by huge sheer cliffs on either side of me and giant vistas and can see all the way to the Vegas Strip. Las Vegas Early start ( 6.30) and race downstairs to get on pink jeep. Keith is our driver/ guide and there are 2 other couples on board. Stop at Hoover Dam which is impressive ( enough concrete to build 4 ft wall around the world ) but girls think it's quite small! Then head off to Grand Canyon which takes about 3 hours in total. Transfer onto tour bus which takes us to 3 stops. All this land ( on west rim of canyon) is ...

... to our final destination, the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino. That is where the Blueman Group performs. I picked up our tickets from the concierge. She kindly gave me a discount coupon for dinner at Brand Steakhouse. We decided we would eat there after the show.

We found a bar in the casino very near the entrance to the theater. We enjoyed a couple of free drinks, the result of some other coupon I received from the ...
