... spectacular -- didn't know if we'd be able to do that strenuous hike, but we did. My trekking poles came in handy on the uphills and downhills! Besides being famous for chile peppers, the Deming area is also known as a "Rock Hunters Paradise" and rocks do abound! There are so many that visitors in the park are welcome to collect up to 15 pounds of rocks and take them home. The elevation here is 4631 feet and it has been ...

... not fast or anything - just for a pose - amusing.... Found an amazing family Mexican restaurant - Irma's and had a superb meal - if you're ever there........

Oh on entering New Mexico the rest stop had free coffee - apparently that's a thing at Highway rest stops in New Mexico - how very jolly decent of them!

Not much to say after waiting four hours beside I-10 waiting for the dust to "blow over" so we could continue on to our current location.

The AC on Shorty's dash quit, so we stopped in Las Cruces to have it fixed. It took us about three hours to find someone to do it and get it done. Perhaps we could have beat out the storm, but I doubt it. We left our last location at eight AM and got here at ...
