So the Denny's restaurant right by the Airport was to become my first real American experience, I had a BLT, one of my favorite American foods ever since. He and I got along well.     ... half a mile to go and with just the maze of manhattan's midtown area to traverse, the satnav had a hissy fit. It had no idea of where we were or what we were doing, which was quite fitting as neither did we! Luckily the satnav righted itself long enough to divert itself to the correct connecting street - which was closed.     ... James thought Matisse was completely sh** and had hoodwinked everyone until we got to the bricks in a pile and the blank canvas painted white when he grudgingly admitted that at least Matisse was an artist and the other guys were social scroungers. ( they did ok by their scrounging it would seem).

    Went from MOMA to Tiffany's (sadly no purchase) and on to FAO Schwarz ( the equivalent to Hamleys) where Ruth blew $14 on a 'Black Enderman' from MineCraft.
