    Up early today, need to get some washing done otherwise we will have no socks or underwear! Weather somewhat unpleasant, RAIN but no snow, however a considerable temperature improvement at 3 degrees. Found a Laundromat not far from the hotel called Zanussi at 750 10th Avenue so not too far away, so ff we go.     ... guy, Billy Joe who was sat next to us with his 16 friends, all from broadway - actors singers producers! He informed us that the cinema was a popular tradition for New Yorkers on Christmas Day, which we just so happened to follow suit, who knew we would be so New York on Christmas!!     ... as its a hectic day on the road and therefore black, dark or difficult to travel. Either way it's a massive day. We may brave the streets to experience it firsthand.

    As we walked home though shops were beginning to open, it was around 10pm. The queue outside of Toys R Us was massive, it was opening at midnight.

    We finally made it through the crowd and back to the AKA.

    ... since Dave was last in New York and shown around by Peggy and Monica. We had a great time, lots of laughs, the kids were great and all similar ages so got along well. After dinner we wandered down the street and had some gelati, which was delicious. We walked around little Italy and Chinatown some more before saying goodbye and heading home.
